Sola Scriptura i.e. Scripture Alone is debated and contested by Roman Catholics and those of the Orthodox Church, and though the Scriptures teach the authority of the Scriptures and even the early Church Fathers taught the supremacy of the Scriptures. It was the Protestant Reformation that took a stand against the many unbiblical teachings and unbiblical authority of the Roman Catholic Church and against the Orthodox Church unbiblical teachings and authority.
